DPWH METRO PREPARES FOR TYPHOON 'EMONG'

Department of Public Works and Highways emergency crew and equipment in Metro Manila are now on 24 hour stand by deployment in preparation for the typhoon  'Emong'  which is expected to land fall in the metropolis tonight.

In his report to DPWH Secretary Hermogenes E. Ebdane Jr. DPWH NCR Director Robert Lala said that all district engineers are already on alert and ready to respond on emergency road situation.
"Emergency crew with full equipment support must be ready to respond to any unexpected damage to major infrastructure," Lala added.

Lala also instructed all district engineers to coordinate with all billboard service providers and owners to lower down all tarpaulins to avoid accidents.

All communications in the DPWH National Capital Region Office are also open 24 hours to assure immediate relay of vital up to date advisories.
