POEA list

The POEA has  recently released a list of countries where the deployment of OFWs would be stopped, as per the certifications of the Philippine diplomatic posts covering such areas:

http://www.poea.gov.ph/GBR/2011/gb_7_2011.pdf  ( Governing Board Resolution No. 7, October 28, 2011).

In addition, the POEA had also released a list of countries where the deployment of OFWs will be continued:

http://www.poea.gov.ph/GBR/2011/gb_6_2011.pdf ( Governing Board Resolution No. 6 October 28, 2011)

http://www.poea.gov.ph/GBR/2011/gb_2_2011.pdf ( Governing Board Resolution No. 2, May 17 2011).

The basis of the halting or continuation of deployment of OFWs to such countries are based on three provisions of RA 10022 Sec.3, pertaining to the presence of laws protecting the rights of migrant workers and other workers, the accession of countries to international agreements covering the protection of migrant workers' rights, and having agreements with the Philippine government on the protection of OFWs' rights.
